The Case Centre Connect Issue 16

Dear colleague

Welcome to our summer issue of Connect!

Who or what is the biggest influence on our interviewee in ‘5 minutes with…’? You may be surprised!

Did you know ‘IRENE’ means ‘peace’ in Greek? We explore IRENE’s (ESSEC Institute for Research and Education on Negotiation) newly launched collection of cases that focus on negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution.

Our featured cases also include an exploration of controversial marketing strategies in Cult Girl, why western baked products are a hard sell in China in Bread for the Chinese, and a brilliant pair of comic books cases, both based on real-life stories.

Finally, our regular in-depth feature asks if using the case method can boost a school’s ranking.

Best wishes
The Case Centre team
