Product Management and Editing Assistant

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Product Management and Editing Assistant. This dynamic role is responsible for the efficient processing of teaching case studies submitted to us for distribution to the case method community. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in the editing process, ensuring the quality and accuracy of case studies, and will also manage the administrative tasks associated with processing products through our system for publication and distribution on our website.

Key responsibilities

Case editing duties
  • Review and assess teaching case study submissions for adherence to editorial guidelines and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with authors to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy of content.
  • Provide constructive feedback to authors to enhance the overall quality of case studies.
  • Guide authors in refining case study narratives, ensuring coherence, and addressing educational objectives effectively.
  • Work closely with the editing team to maintain and improve processes.
  • Understand the objectives of each case study, ensuring alignment with educational goals and industry relevance.
  • Light edit of content for grammar, style, and clarity while maintaining the authenticity of the author's voice, ensuring a polished final product.
Product management
  • Oversee the end-to-end processing of teaching case studies through our internal systems.
  • Coordinate with the team to ensure timely and accurate entry of case study data into our system.
  • Monitor and update product information on our website, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Administrative tasks
  • Manage the workflow of case study submissions, tracking progress and deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with authors, providing guidance on submission requirements and addressing enquiries.
  • Maintain organised records of case study submissions, approvals, and publication status.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of administrative processes related to product management.
Collaboration and communication
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and timely publication.
  • Contribute to team meetings and discussions related to product management and editing processes.

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Communications, or related).
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • The ability to collaborate with faculty, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders.
  • Teamwork, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Previous experience in editing roles or product management is advantageous.

Salary £24,000 plus medical insurance, contributory pension scheme, 4+ weeks annual holiday and excellent working conditions.
