On 19 April The Case Centre visited Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University to present Euvin Naidoo, Distinguished Professor of Practice for Global Accounting, Risk and Agility, with the 2024 Outstanding Case Teacher prize.

Euvin is the Director of the Thunderbird Case Series, and the award was presented at one of their regular case workshops. Following the award presentation, workshop participants had the opportunity to experience a session led by Euvin using Thunderbird's cutting-edge digital tables.

Vicky Lester, CEO of The Case Centre, commented: "The judges were all very impressed by Euvin's innovative case teaching approach, which encompasses digital table cases, role-playing scenarios, and diverse protagonists. The testimonials from colleagues and students confirm that Euvin is an outstanding case teacher who demonstrates an unparalleled passion and motivation for the case method and his students' learning."

Thunderbird Deputy Dean and Professor, Lena Booth, said: "Euvin has pioneered numerous teaching innovations, and students consistently rave about him. His dedication to pushing boundaries in education is exemplary, constantly introducing cutting-edge concepts to ensure our students are future-ready. From agility courses to AI and accounting, he never ceases to amaze with his fresh teaching approaches. He also played a pivotal role in encouraging the use of digital touch tables in case teaching. Euvin is undoubtedly our star. His impact is indescribable, and I truly believe he deserves this award."

On receiving his award Euvin thanked his colleagues and the support team at Thunderbird. He commented: "I am grateful to receive this award. It has really enabled Thunderbird to stand out, and I feel so lucky to be a part of this ecosystem. We have really excellent case teachers, some of whom are my mentors, and I have learned so much from them. Thunderbird is a small, very special school, and we can only do the things we do because of the team. Our students are truly brilliant, always pushing us to do better, and the whole purpose of what we're doing is for them. Everything here is for them. I'd like to thank them for allowing us to come in every day and have the best job."
