INSEAD professor Joerg Niessing received the Case Awards 2025 Outstanding Case Teacher trophy in Fontainebleau last Friday (13 June 2025).

The Case Centre CEO Vicky Lester presented the accolade to Joerg at an MBA Alumni reunion event at INSEAD’s Europe Campus.

The occasion was also attended by faculty and INSEAD Dean, Francisco Veloso.

Francisco said: “We are of course delighted to have this recognition.

“Joerg is a great example of the very best professors we have here at INSEAD, who bring their experience into the classroom and to the executives and students.

“Our professors care very much about driving impact in the organisation, so this recognition really is a wonderful tribute to Joerg and how seriously he takes imparting that knowledge to students and our community.”

Joerg is a Senior Affiliate Professor of Marketing, and the co-director of INSEAD’s flagship programmes Leading Digital Marketing Strategy, B2B Marketing Strategies and Driving Digital Marketing Strategy (OOPS).

Fresh off the back of his marketing category awards of 2018 and 2022, Joerg has cemented his place as a trailblazer for the case method with this latest award.

“The discussions I have with INSEAD alumni and the case protagonists motivate me to continue to innovate. My colleagues also continue to push me. I just love to write cases because I think it’s still a very good method to use, as students put themselves into the shoes of the protagonists. I will continue to write cases and not stop. Thank you very much for this award.”
