Denis Gromb was the Antin I.P. Chair Professor of Finance at HEC Paris. His principal research interests included corporate finance, corporate governance, banking, the economics of organisations and the limits to arbitrage in financial markets. Denis taught courses related to corporate finance in different programmes: Grande Ecole, Master in Economics, Part-time MBA, Executive MBA, and the Executive MSc in Finance. Prior to joining HEC Paris in 2015, he was a member of faculty at INSEAD, London Business School and MIT.
Denis published many articles in leading academic journals such as the Journal of Finance, American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics and The Annual Review of Financial Economic. He also won several awards for his case studies including being a category winner for the EFMD Case Writing Competition in 2014 and the AFFI-CCMP Award for the best case in Finance in 2018. He won the The Case Centre’s Finance, Accounting and Control award twice; firstly, with his co-authored case Prada’s Hong Kong IPO in 2018, and then again in 2022 with Private Equity and Infrastructure: Antin's TowerCo Deal.
