Hello and welcome to my blog about the experiential world of the case method in business and management education.
I’m deeply passionate about the case method, as it’s a learning approach that’s delivered via dialogue between educators and students; bringing classrooms alive that standard lectures fail to do. When students are engaged, they learn lessons for life, and that’s something the case method undoubtedly achieves.
In my blogs, I’m looking forward to covering a wide range of case community topics, from the future of the case method, to a conference I’m attending, or #WorldCaseTeachingDay - and that’s just scratching the surface.

I was excited to be back in person at the 83rd Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM) last month in Boston, MA.

I was delighted to see yet another high-quality issue of Case Focus – our fourth edition – be so well received by the case community when it was released at the end of June.

I have taken an enormous amount of satisfaction from the progress we have made with the case teaching scholarship programme, as this year saw us increase the number of recipients from five to ten.

After testing the waters last year post-COVID and exhibiting at a couple of in-person events, I’m excited for our plans of a full conference programme in 2023.

I had the pleasure of attending two events in North Africa earlier this month; The American University in Cairo Business Forum 2023 and the AACSB Middle East and North Africa Conference (MENA) in Morocco hosted by ESCA Ecole de Management.
