The fully residential campus of Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) located in the National Capital Region is one of the top MBA Institutes to study in India.
It provides a highly conducive academic environment, interaction with hard working and industry-academia mix professors, proximity to the strategy makers of the industry and practitioners of the service and manufacturing companies, and exposure to international universities and companies.
BIMTECH was established in 1988 under the aegis of the Birla Academy of Art and Culture, and supported by Birla group of companies. The late Basant Kumar Birla and Sarala Birla, chairperson of B K Birla Group of companies, are the founders of the business school.
BIMTECH is mini India in its formation every year. It has students coming from nearly all the states of India, and also from foreign countries. BIMTECH is like a school where international business endeavours are also made. Its mix of nationalities, cultural backgrounds, academic and professional experiences make BIMTECH one of the most exciting and enriching business schools in the country.
About the collection
In its continuous quest for excellence in management education and research, BIMTECH has established the BIMTECH Centre for Management Case Development (BCMCD).
BMCD’s objectives are to promote the development of high quality teaching cases to facilitate teaching for academics and to provide practical knowledge to consultants, practitioners and management developers. BCMCD provides a platform to dialogue with academics, consultants, and practitioners, encouraging critical thinking and promoting research. These objectives are achieved through organising and conducting case writing workshops, conferences and seminars to benefit case writers. The Centre also organises an annual International Conference on Management Cases, attracting a large number of delegates from all over the world. The cases presented are published by an international publisher and more than 50% are published in international journals. BCMCD has now entered into a licence agreement with The Case Centre authorising it to distribute cases developed by and through BCMCD.
