About ESSEC Business School

Founded in 1907 in Paris, ESSEC Business School is an institution of higher education guided by the pursuit of academic excellence in teaching and research. Its distinctiveness stems from the pioneering spirit of the members of its community and its core values – humanism, responsibility, innovation and openness - that shape its scientific ambitions and pedagogical approach.

The mission of ESSEC Business School, a world school with French roots, is to infuse leadership with meaning in order to prepare leaders ready to address contemporary economic, environmental and social challenges.

About the collection

There’s more than 200 cases in the collection covering the sectors of industry, mass distribution, new technologies, media, culture, finance, CSR and luxury. Production of cases is supported and encouraged in the same way as MOOCS, and several cases are accompanied by videos.

ESSEC Sustainability Case Factory

logoFrom the early 2020’s, ESSEC Business School has been training 100% of its students to the challenges of sustainable development in the most qualitative way possible, with a commitment to make both the contents and the pedagogical methods evolve.

It is in this context that ESSEC has created a sustainability cases factory, whose aim is to produce pedagogical content on Sustainable Development & Social Responsibility topics in order to equip professors to integrate these issues into their teaching.

The result is a growing collection of cases in the fields of marketing, finance, management and entrepreneurship, addressing sustainability issues. Other topics are still to come in other disciplines, as the Sustainability Case Factory covers all areas of teaching of business schools.

ESSEC Institute for Research and Education on Negotiation (IRENE)

The collection offers an innovative range of tools for teaching negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution across a variety of disciplines and perspectives. They include interactive simulations designed by selected academics and practitioners who want to share state-of-the-art research and proven best practice.
