About the collection
Business students, and even seasoned business experts, can learn from the experiences of other real-life organisations and decision-makers. Engagement with practice is a core element of RSM’s approach to research and teaching. The Case Development Centre (CDC) at RSM supports case-based management education by turning exceptional business and management experiences into powerful learning tools. CDC works closely with RSM faculty to develop high-quality case studies and disseminate them among educators all over the world.
The RSM CDC case collection comprises hundreds of cases and teaching notes on a wide range of topics and industries, including a number of international bestsellers and award winners. CDC works closely with RSM faculty to develop and write cases used in undergraduate, graduate, MBA, and executive courses. Some of the cases also have multimedia supporting materials.
About the free collection
The Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) provides a growing set of teaching cases in its free case collection. At the moment it provides several free case collections:
QuInnE cases derive from the research results of QuInnE, an interdisciplinary EU-funded project investigating the interdependence of job quality and innovation and its effect on job creation.
ENABLE cases derive from the European Network for the Advancement of Business and Landscape Education (ENABLE) project, which develops much-needed education on integrated landscape management using sustainable business models.
SELIS cases derive from the EU Horizon2020 Project “Towards a Shared European Logistics Intelligent Information Space” (SELIS). These cases contribute to the adoption of innovative business models by logistics communities and enabling the participation in a green, agile and collaborative logistics and transportation system.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) cases derive from RSM’s initiative to embed SDGs in its curriculum. These cases explore the complexity of sustainable development, requiring students to go beyond their own specialisations in order to understand the environmental, social, and economic dimensions of sustainability.
