About the collection
Business students, and even seasoned business experts, can learn from the experiences of other real-life organisations and decision-makers. Engagement with practice is a core element of RSM’s approach to research and teaching. The Case Development Centre (CDC) supports case-based management education by turning exceptional business and management experiences into powerful learning tools. Collaborating closely with RSM faculty, CDC develops high-quality case studies and disseminates them to educators worldwide.
The RSM Case Collection comprises hundreds of cases and teaching notes on a wide range of topics and industries, including several international bestsellers and award winners. These cases are used in undergraduate, graduate, MBA, and executive courses, with some accompanied by multimedia supporting materials.
About the free collection
In addition to regular teaching cases, the RSM Case Collection also includes a growing number of free cases centred on sustainability. At present, there are several sets of free cases available:
QuInnE cases derive from the research results of QuInnE, an interdisciplinary EU-funded project investigating the interdependence of job quality and innovation and its effect on job creation.
ENABLE cases derive from the European Network for the Advancement of Business and Landscape Education (ENABLE) project, which develops much-needed education on integrated landscape management using sustainable business models.
SELIS cases derive from the EU Horizon2020 Project “Towards a Shared European Logistics Intelligent Information Space” (SELIS). These cases contribute to the adoption of innovative business models by logistics communities and enabling the participation in a green, agile and collaborative logistics and transportation system.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) cases derive from RSM’s initiative to embed SDGs in its curriculum. These cases explore the complexity of sustainable development, requiring students to go beyond their own specialisations in order to understand the environmental, social, and economic dimensions of sustainability.
