About the collection

Affiliated to Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management, China Business Case Center (CBCC) contributes to the world a growing English-language, China-topic case collection. Founded in 1999, CBCC was one of the pioneers that strives to make an impact on China’s business education by promoting the case method and case products. Leveraging Tsinghua University’s leading position and strong influence in China’s higher education and society, CBCC not only assists Tsinghua SEM faculty members to develop high-quality new cases, but also calls for faculty members at all business schools in China to engage case teaching in the classroom as well as write new cases that meet international publishing criteria.

CBCC also operates a national case distribution platform that houses over 1,000 Chinese-language cases, mostly field research-based, all with teaching notes, and serves an institutional customer base of over 140 business schools and university libraries. With its strong China roots, in recent years, CBCC decided to bring stories of Chinese entrepreneurs, their most recent innovative ideas, management practices, distinctive challenges and decisions to the world. The collection aims to span a wide range of academic disciplines and to contribute to a better understanding of the Chinese business environment as well as the management philosophy of Chinese business leaders.
