About University of St.Gallen
As one of Europe’s leading business schools, the University of St.Gallen (HSG) educates business leaders. Founded in 1898 as a demand-oriented commercial academy, the HSG has, for over a century, been a prominent port of call for ambitious people whose goal it is to achieve something: for themselves and for society – people who want to shape the future. The high practical relevance of all of the programmes and courses they offer is a result of this aspiration.
The employees of HSG’s 30 institutes offer students qualified degrees in the subjects of business administration, economics, law, social sciences, and international relations. The outstanding reputation of the University of St.Gallen is founded on the highest academic standards, as well as their long tradition as a top-tier educational institution for executives. People from around the world value HSG’s high-quality majors – together, their students, researchers, alumni and sponsors form one of the largest networks in the business world.
About the collection
At the University of St.Gallen, research is carried out in five schools (School of Management, School of Finance, School of Economics and Political Science, Law School, School of Humanities and Social Sciences). The majority of the research takes place in around 40 institutes and research institutes, as well as in about 80 chairs. The HSG wants to promote case writing in order to generate high quality cases to be used throughout its own programmes, in particular as key cases within a specific course. The first case for The Case Centre case collection was written in 2000.
The University of St.Gallen collection also includes a free case. Browse here
