Our Director Richard McCracken was honoured to visit Harvard Business School recently to present the 2015 Entrepreneurship Award to Thomas R Eisenmann, the School’s Howard H. Stevenson Professor of Business Administration.
Thomas won the award for his case, Dropbox: ’It Just Works’ co-written with Michael Pao, Group Product Manager at Uber Technologies Inc., (MBA 2011 Harvard Business School) and Lauren Barley, Research Associate at Harvard Business School California Research Center.
The presentation ceremony, also attended by our US office staff, Eric Aldrich and Tricia Haskell, included a special celebratory lunch held at the School.
Dropbox: ‘It Just Works explores the amazing entrepreneurial story of Dropbox founder, Drew Houston, who graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), US, in 2006 and is now worth an estimated $1.2 billion.
Says Thomas: ‘I think the case is popular not only because it profiles a great entrepreneur, but also because it illustrates ‘lean startup’ principles being put into practice in a powerful, effective way.’
