In an amazing achievement for a first-time case writer, Jeremy Ghez of HEC Paris, won The Case Centre’s Economics, Politics and Business Environment Award 2016 for his case The Economics of Amazon.

Speaking at a special presentation ceremony held at HEC Paris with friends and colleagues, The Case Centre’s Director Richard McCracken said: ‘This is a fantastic case. To have a first-time case writer win an award is very unusual. It says a lot about the quality of Jeremy’s writing and of the case, including its topicality and setting. Many congratulations to Jeremy on this well-deserved success.’

Richard went on to speak about the importance of the case writing community and the contribution that case writing can make to the life, reputation and teaching of a school.

Jeremy described his win as a ‘key award’ for his school and thanked his colleagues for their support in writing the case. He gave a special mention to Caroline Meriaux, Manager of Pedagogical Development at HEC Paris, who he said had been a coach, mentor and friend during the process.
