INSEAD Dean Ilian Mihov said he was honoured and proud to help celebrate the presentation of the Outstanding Contribution to the Case Method Award to Pierre Chandon as part of the school’s alumni weekend.

The Case Centre’s Director, Richard McCracken, said: ‘It’s a great pleasure to be here at this amazing alumni reunion; the energy and commitment of the INSEAD community is fantastic.’ He went on to offer congratulations to Pierre on his achievement, having not only won the Outstanding Contribution to the Case Method Award, but also the Overall Award 2016.

Highly respected

Pierre is the L’Oréal Chaired Professor of Marketing, Innovation and Creativity at INSEAD, France, and Director of the INSEAD Sorbonne Behavioural Lab. He is a highly respected case writer, researcher and teacher and was the inspiration behind INSEAD’s innovative case websites, designed to offer a wide range of additional materials and inspiration to case teachers worldwide.

Dean Mihov has previously described Pierre as a ‘champion of case writing’ at INSEAD, and the school’s number one case writer, based on the number used internally and the number of copies sold worldwide. ‘A real achievement given the calibre of INSEAD case writers,’ he noted.
