Free teaching cases from Medical Peace Work
The goals of Medical Peace Work are to prevent violence, and promote peace, human rights and human security. This is an emerging field of expertise that draws on a commitment to the life, health and wellbeing of patients in the face of enormous suffering and misery caused by war and human rights violations.
The cases are intended to be used as the basis for group work and class discussion in formal and informal educational settings for health professionals and their students. Teaching notes are available for teachers and trainers. Medical Peace Work also offers online teaching resources for medical peace education.

About Medical Peace Work (MPW)

The Medical Peace Work (MPW) partnership is built on a European network of medical peace organisations and teaching institutions that gathered during the Hague Appeal for Peace Conference in 1999 and the IPPNW (International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War) World Congress in Paris in 2000. The Partnership represents a transitional cooperation between a number of stakeholders including medical peace practitioners, peace and health researchers, teaching institutions, and the final users of the project’s outcomes.
