Are you an experienced case teacher looking for new and exciting ways to engage and motivate your students? Are you keen to learn innovative tools and techniques that will reinvigorate your case teaching skills? The Advanced Case Teaching workshop, led by a highly skilled and experienced case teaching practitioner, is packed with fresh ideas and inspiring insights to help you create and sustain an exciting and stimulating learning environment in your classroom.

Overview

Led by award-winning case author and teacher Kamran Kashani, this workshop for experienced case teachers will build on the fundamental principles of successful discussion leadership to explore and assess a wide range of different approaches to case teaching. Participants will be able to sharpen their case teaching skills; discover new and exciting ways to work with students in a classroom setting; and find out how to design an effective case-based course.

Participants

This workshop is suitable for experienced case teachers only. Our Introduction to Case Teaching workshop is designed for those with little or no experience of case teaching.

The Advanced Case Teaching workshop will be of benefit to experienced case teachers from any sector or discipline who are keen to further develop and improve their case teaching skills. 

Objectives

Participants will:
  • build on their experience to further explore the theory and practice of case teaching
  • learn new classroom tactics and techniques to enhance student learning
  • hone and develop their own approaches to case teaching and discussion management
  • network with colleagues to exchange ideas, experiences and insights
  • return to the classroom with renewed confidence and enthusiasm. 

Tutor

This workshop will be facilitated by Kamran Kashani. Kamran is Professor of Marketing and Global Strategy at IMD, Switzerland. He has been a marketing consultant and educator to numerous USA and European companies and has also taught at INSEAD, France, and Babson College, USA. Over the last 30 years Kamran has written more than 50 case studies and has won four Case Awards and two from EFMD. As a coach to teachers in the art of case method, Kamran has been presenting case writing and teaching workshops for The Case Centre since 2000.  View Kamran's full profile
