
Tutor profile: Angela Lee
Angela Lee is a Professor of Practice (Finance) at Columbia Business School, New York where she teaches courses on finance, leadership and strategy. In addition, Angela is an investor and founder of 37 Angels, an angel investment network that trains women to invest in early stage start-ups. Before joining Columbia Business School, Angela started her career in new product development and digital marketing in the finance industry, then moved onto a career in consulting, first at McKinsey & Company and then at an innovation consulting firm.
Angela has extensive experience of using the case method in her teaching and role as Associate Dean, Innovation and Online Learning and Chief Innovation Officer, developing and delivering workshops for 300+ faculty around curriculum design and case teaching. Voted top three faculty by students in 2018 at Columbia, Angela has been teaching cases there for six years. In 2020 Angela won the Columbia Business School Dean's Teaching Award.
Angela is a sought-after expert on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, and Fox Business and is regularly featured in media outlets such as Forbes, Huffington Post, and Fast Company. Entrepreneur Magazine recognized Angela as one of Six Innovative Women to Watch in 2015.
