Tutor profile: Kamran Kashani

Kamran Kashani

Kamran Kashani is Professor Emeritus of Marketing and Global Strategy at IMD, Switzerland and has also taught at INSEAD, France and Babson College, USA. He graduated from the University of California, USA (UCLA), and gained his Doctorate in Business Administration at Harvard Business School, USA.
Kamran teaches topics in marketing, strategy and innovation. His special interests span across industrial, business-to-business, and consumer marketing. He has worked as a consultant and management educator with a large number of international companies including: ABB, Avon, Ciba-Geigy, Citibank, Coopers & Lybrand, Electrolux, General Electric, Hewlett-Packard, Honeywell, Merck, Medtronic, Nestlé, Orkla, Philip Morris, Reuters, Richardson Vicks, Sandoz, Sulzer, Uponor and Tetra Pak. He has written extensively on the subject of marketing and global strategy and his publications have been translated into more than a dozen languages around the world.
Over the last 30 years Kamran has researched and written more than 50 cases and has won four Case Awards and two from EFMD. Kamran won the Outstanding contribution to the case method award at the Case Awards 2011. As a coach to teachers in the art of case method, Kamran has been presenting case writing and teaching workshops for The Case Centre since 2000. 
Kamran has been a faculty member of ITP (International Teachers Program) at London Business School, UK, New York University, USA, SDA Bocconi, Italy and IMD, Switzerland where he co-directed the programme.
