Abstract

This is part of a case series. The case is about the choice of a scaling-up strategy of a social entrepreneurial initiative when key resources are scarce. The initiative uses the production of mural art in public spaces in processes of reframing stigmatized immigrant city suburbs. The reader is presented with the challenges the initiative faces due to politicians' and highly-ranked civil servants' mistrust in the initiative's unconventional methods. The case stops at the moment when the founder and chair of the social entrepreneurial initiative has to decide a scaling-up strategy.
