Abstract

The case revolves around the issue of employee retention faced by Cafe Coffee Day (CCD), a popular Coffee chain in India. CCD is an India multinational company which serves coffee and hot beverages cater to the growing middle-class consumers in India. Being in the service industry, CCD considered the quality of its human resource as an important factor in customer satisfaction ensured that its employees across the country are well trained to provide consistent services at its outlets. Facing a high attrition rate in most of its cafes, CCD took help from an HR consultant to ascertain the reasons for the high attrition rates at its cafes and ways to fix the problem.
