The purpose of this paper is to study the reinvention of the Indian Postal department- India Post and to analyze the feasibility of its renovation model. The text of this paper contains analysis of its collaboration with e-Commerce industry as well as its drivers, effect of digitization on the organization, revenue generation and its leaking areas, initiatives taken by the Government of India, training and development, planning and expansion of its infrastructure, challenges and competition. These parameters are examined and compared with the organization’s older system and functions. This paper uses qualitative research methodology. The finding in terms of revenue showed that renovation process is directly proportional to the revenue generation. With flexibility, pin codes and largest network India Post does possess an edge when it comes to competition but on certain parameters the competitors are a challenge for India Post among other internal challenges.
