From Botswana to Namibia: Getting the Trans-Kalahari Railway on Track

Katrina Simon-Agolory

‘As a first-time case writer, the thought of writing a case was very overwhelming to me. I am deeply grateful to receive the scholarship from The Case Centre because it provides me with the financial, professional and moral support I need to put pen to paper. The case writing workshop will equip me with the knowledge to develop a high quality case. It will also afford me an opportunity to discuss my case with fellow workshop participants. The feedback I will receive from expert case writers on my first case draft will help me improve my case.

‘The scholarship requirement for a supervisor prompted me to cultivate a mentor relationship that provides additional guidance through this year-long adventure. I must acknowledge and thank my supervisor, Ms Claire Beswick of Wits Business School (South Africa), for graciously agreeing to mentor me throughout the scholarship duration. Receiving The Case Centre scholarship has transformed case writing from a very intimidating task to one that I can now approach with confidence.’
