The Ontario Health Promoting Hospital Network: Failure to launch, or planting the seeds for change?

Shannon Sibbald
'Teaching using the case method is a way to bring learning to life as students experience real-world decision making dilemmas. It has been my experience that there is a paucity of effective teaching cases grounded in inter- and cross-disciplinary healthcare contexts. This scholarship will provide an essential kick-start to developing cases that explore the dynamic world of health decision making – where the traditional protagonist becomes a complex interaction of patients, providers, decision and policy-makers, set within the context of a community with diverse values and priorities.

'I am excited at the opportunities provided through this scholarship, and the associated case to be produced, as vehicles for information exchange and knowledge mobilization. Through this scholarship, I will continue to develop my case writing and case teaching skills. I am truly honoured to be recognised by The Case Centre.'
