Tracing its roots back over a century, the University of Hong Kong (HKU) proudly stands as one of the leading institutions of higher education in Asia. Alongside it, the HKU Business School has grown to become a widely recognized and respected business school in the region. The School strives to nurture first-class business leaders and foster both academic and applied research to serve the needs of Hong Kong, China and the rest of the world in the fast-changing global economy. The Asia Case Research Centre (ACRC), a distinguished research center affiliated with HKU Business School, was established in 1997 to advance learning and teaching in business education. The ACRC focuses on promoting leading management thinking through research on the latest practices in the Asia-Pacific business environment and collaborates closely with HKU faculty and company executives to develop case studies that merge academic concepts with real-world business challenges and opportunities. The ACRC also provides training in case development and teaching, partners with faculty worldwide to publish case studies on businesses operating in Asia, and works with HSBC to organize the world's largest undergraduate business case competition. This competition aims to enhance business literacy, nurture future business leaders, and promote diversity and inclusion among participating students. Since 2023, The Case Centre has received 24 new cases for distribution from ACRC authors. In total the collection available through The Case Centre numbers 781 cases, many with accompanying instructor materials, software and videos. Nine are prize-winning cases. |
