IE Business School was founded in 1973 by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs. Since then the School has evolved and grown, while honoring their commitment to their core values: innovation, entrepreneurship, diversity and the humanities. From day one, the School’s focus has been to mold their students into the best possible version of themselves, so they can both achieve their personal goals and make a greater positive impact in society. IE Business School believes in progressive, practical and dynamic teaching that addresses hard, soft and digital skills and prepares its students for tomorrow’s real world. Through their research and knowledge creation IE’s mission is to build bridges to develop and strengthen relations between the business and academic worlds, through the creation of alliances to generate and disseminate knowledge that can be used to help business. Since 2001, IE Publishing has served as the specialized unit of IE University responsible for designing, developing, and distributing its educational materials. They offer case studies, simulations, and other academic resources in a variety of subject areas, which can be used to enrich classes and foster meaningful learning experiences. Excellence and innovation are core pillars of the School, and these values are integrated into all of their pedagogical materials. The School’s innovative spirit is evident in its excellent collection of more than 300 teaching cases in both Spanish and English. These include more than 100 successful multimedia cases, as well as text-based versions, and a number that combines traditional formats with new technologies such as animations, videos and graphics that maximise interaction. In total the collection available through The Case Centre numbers 411 cases, many with accompanying instructor materials, software and videos. Ten of those are prize-winning cases. |

“Case studies are one of the multiple learning methodologies of business schools, based on the 'learn by doing' methodology in which students are presented with situations containing a central problem and then invited to analyze and reflect on possible solutions. It is a key and powerful learning methodology, especially as it evolves and adapts to both how students consume content and the learning objectives set by professors.
“At IE Business School, we are constantly exploring different ways to make the learning experience in general, and case studies specifically, more interactive, immersive, and adapted to the students’ needs and context, for example through the use of AI and other emerging technologies. Our aim is that students acquire deeper knowledge, skills, and mindsets. Thus, it is an honor to be included in the prestigious Impact Index from The Case Centre.”
