Job description

We need a full-time Content Acquisition Management Assistant to join our small and friendly Content Acquisition Management team. The work includes registering and cataloguing educational materials submitted by authors and institutions from around the world.

Key responsibilities

Register and catalogue educational materials, including:

• receipts and confirmations
• the production and proofing of bibliographic information
• batch data processing
• monitoring and maintaining product information in our database
• formatting material and creating PDFs
• processing permissions (e.g. translation requests and book permissions)
• dealing with internal and external enquiries and developing relationships with our author community.

Key skills and qualifications

• good all-round education, ideally educated to A level/BTEC standard or similar
• highly accurate with attention to detail
• highly conscientious
• good basic computer skills
• excellent literacy skills
• ability to work as part of a small, busy team
• excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• experience with using Adobe Acrobat, Enfocus PitStop and OCRing software would be an advantage.

Salary range £17,318 - £28,378 plus medical insurance, contributory pension scheme, 4+ weeks annual holiday and excellent working conditions.
