In 2010 A-List Education, a test preparation business serving both the traditional market and students who typically do not have access to such services, considered how to scale up. Management believed its best route for scalable growth was to expand its offerings in technology-based products for mass distribution. In this case, students are asked to consider the company’s business model, the required investment for its intended expansion, and the best route to finance these future plans.
