Abstract

Emotions play an important role in group and team dynamics. However, most of the emotional intelligence (EI) research conducted so far has only addressed one-on-one relationships. The field''s cutting edge involves the application of EI principles to catalyze the productivity of teams using the initial research based on individual EI. This article demonstrates how to create emotionally intelligent teams by developing trust, a group identity, and team efficacy.
