Abstract
The situation in Repsol, SA in 1988 is described and questions are asked with regard to its privatization through going on to the Stock Exchange. Repsol, SA is an integrated company in the oil sector. It has five businesses. It is the largest industrial company in the country and is state-owned. The strategic and financial repercussions of its privatization process in 1988 are discussed.
