Abstract

This is part of a case series. The case describes the dilemma of Siddhartha Singh who wanted to start an enterprise he narrates his personal and professional career journey. The case focuses on the different aspects of entrepreneurship, business opportunity identification & selection as well as entrepreneurial marketing. Part (A) of the case narrates the background of Siddhartha Singh, decisions related with starting a new enterprise and how he evaluated each opportunity and worked on the plans to launch the enterprise. Part (B) focuses on the decision about the enterprise and his first year journey as an entrepreneur. The students can learn certain key concepts of entrepreneurship, opportunity identification and selection process and entrepreneurial motivation. The case also covers few aspects of entrepreneurial marketing. The case can be used as a part of post graduate as well as undergraduate program in entrepreneurship and small business. The case can be used for courses like Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Entrepreneurship Development, New Enterprise Creation. The case can be used for executive education programs aimed at middle level executives aiming to start their own business.
