Abstract

This is part of a case series. There is a choice of general managers for the US subsidiary; resumes and interview results for the two leading contenders are included. The case raises the issue of trust versus control and intended relationship between the parent and daughter companies. This is the second in a three-case series, 'Panda Furniture (A) to (B1)'. A condensed version, 'Panda Furniture (A + B)', of this case and 'Panda Furniture (A)', is also available. Follow up cases 'Panda Furniture (B2)', and 'Panda Furniture (C)', have also been produced.
