Abstract

This video is to accompany the case. The video provides edited highlights of Greg Dyke's address to staff on his first day as BBC Director-General. In it Greg sets out his view of the BBC's accomplishments before he joined, the current challenges facing the BBC and how he hopes to start tackling these issues. It also highlights his leadership style. The video also covers several questions asked by the studio audience after the speech, together with Greg's responses. The questions centre on his plans for change, his management approach and when he expects to start seeing results from the changes. This video is intended to support teaching of the cases: 'Greg Dyke: Taking the Helm at the BBC (A) and (B)'.
