Abstract

The video was shot at Zeebrugge, Belgium in June 2000 and was produced to introduce the case 'www.Pefa.com: Pan European Fish Auctions - Implementing a Virtual Marketplace'. It highlights the fresh fish industry supply chain, provides a retrospective view of the role of a local landing site and shouting auction, before illustrating how pefa. com has been able to create a virtual market place for the buying and selling of fish through the aggregation and matching of remote buyers and sellers. A video of an interview with Ms Becaus-Pieters is also available. This DVD was previously numbered 601-033-3 and IMD-6-0189-V.
