This is a recorded interview of Ven Tulluri (MBA 1999), the director of corporate strategy in the fibres division of Rhodia, the French textile powerhouse, who decided in 2002 to launch a management buyout on one company in his portfolio, Kermel, a Colmar-based producer of high performance fibres. The interview covers three areas: the motivations for the buyout, the specifics of the Kermel deal and general recommendations for entrepreneurs interested in doing a buyout.
