Abstract
This is the first of a two-case series (IMD-2-0101 and IMD-2-0102). Lafarge and the World Wildlife Foundation have established the first conservation partnership between an industrial company and a conservation organisation. They successfully collaborate on issues such as quarry rehabilitation, energy consumption and environmental performance indicators. The partnership is put to the test when the parties cannot agree on Lafarge''s carbon dioxide (CO2) reduction commitment.
