Abstract

The case deals with the development of a sales strategy for an investment good, ThyssenKrupp Uhde’s EnviNOx (R) technology, a highly innovative and effective abatement system for a specific greenhouse gas. By neutralizing greenhouse gas, certificates can be generated which can be sold according to emission trading regulations based on the Kyoto protocol. The case is split in two sections: Part A requires the analysis of the market taking into account the economic attractiveness of EnviNOx (R) Technology and the assessment of the competitive situation. Part B requires the development of an appropriate sales strategy for the product, based on customer needs.
