Abstract

This video is to accompany the case series. The (A) video, part I describes why the company was founded with views from Jan Carlzon (business angel) and Joachim Borgsved (one of the founders). The (A) video, part II describes why Cell Network started looking for a merger partner, with views from Jan Carlzon, Joachim Borgsved and Marcus Backlund (Chief Executive Officer). The (B) video describes the rationale for the merger with Linne and some of the integration. It then moves on to look at the reasons for opening negotiations with Mandator and ends with the challenges Cell faces in a dramatically different business environment. The (C) video, part I discusses the organisational challenges created by the Mandator deal. The (C) video, part II, has the players discuss their key learning points from the experience.
