Abstract

The video is an edited version of an interview with Ms Marie-Jeanne Becaus-Pieters that took place in December 2000. Ms Pieters describes the events that occurred between June 1998 and December 2000. Particular emphasis is placed on delivering the promise of the e-enabled marketplace through the establishment of supply-chain partnerships, the scalability of the Pefa model, diversification into other perishable products, eg flowers, fruit and vegetables, as well as geographic expansion.
