This is the first of a four-case series (IMD-3-0757 to IMD-3-0760). In late 1992, the Leeds is about to report generally favourable financial results. In the tradition of the UK building societies this co-operative organisation is active as a deposit-taking and mortgage-lending institution, primarily for its members. Through in-depth industry analysis, the executive directors have identified tremendous changes in the personal financial services industry. They seek to bring future issues and options to the attention of the board at large.
