Abstract

Following AWWA'S Governing Board's decision to revamp the charity's organisational structure, the task of implementing the change inside the organisation was led by Tim Oei, AWWA's Chief Executive Officer and his management team. To implement the change in organisational structure and design, Tim and his team had to realign AWWA's staff and the organisation's systems and processes. Major mindset changes were required of AWWA's major stakeholders including its members, volunteers and employees. While AWWA's core leadership group had several years to discuss and come to consensus on the organisational change initiative, other stakeholders needed more time to adjust to the changes.
