Abstract
This is the second of a two-case series (IMD-3-0672 and IMD-3-0673). The rivalry between telecommunications giant Telstra and the challenger Optus heats up as Optus makes a A$3 billion move into the pay TV industry. Telstra responds by committing A$4 billion for developing the ''information superhighway'' of the future. Meanwhile, industry observers question the economic viability of the venture.
