Abstract

In autumn 2012, Angel Luis Serrano, chairman and CEO of Isofoton, was considering how to address a situation he considered crucial, both for the company and for the solar energy sector. This case describes Isofoton's acquisition and restructuring operation and the strategy implemented by the company's new management team: converting the company from local and unprofitable into a global, profitable company. The case offers the chance to analyse that strategy's feasibility, profitability and eventual creation of economic value.
