Abstract

This is part of a case series. The case study, Tornado A and B, is a story of a young man’s professional evolution in the time of Russia’s transition from planned to market economy. It describes the stages of his professional biography, in particular those of gaining experience in retail optimisation and using this experience in different markets, under different conditions. This case study is aimed to show how the idea of and approach to introducing a new product to the Russian market was developed as well as the personal development of that man moving from his involvement in corporate business to entrepreneurship. This case study may be used in the following courses: Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Entry to New Markets, Venture Investments, Talent Management, Entrepreneurship Psychology, Business in Transitional Economy.
