Abstract

The State Audit Bureau of Kuwait performs its important control role in protecting and tracing the public funds to prevent any misuse or manipulation. It controls all aspects of carried out actions regarding the public funds based on its powers and missions granted by law no 30 of the year 1964 on SAB establishment. Information Technology Department is the main pillars of any modern organisation because of their importance to keep up with all that is new and fashionable, whether internal or external level, and it gets more important when it is linked to the processes of the audits, because the auditors faced many problems using the manual systems such as difficulty in calculations and continuity. Because of the tremendous development in the audits using information technology, prompting senior management to give the technical side enough attention to where he set up the Information Technology Department in 1994 based on the implementation of the aspirations of the Audit Bureau in the field of adaptation of technical information as well as to serve the objectives of private and public for any auditor member of the Audit Bureau. The number of staff of the Audit Bureau is approximately 900 employees including 300 Auditor.
