Abstract

As part of her ongoing research program, Karla Zadnik, dean of the Ohio State University College of Optometry, had access to data on the eyesight of well over 1,000 children from the multicenter Collaborative Longitudinal Evaluation of Ethnicity and Refractive Error (CLEERE) study. In reaction to the Quinn study, she quickly administered a her own survey asking parents to report both their prior use of nighttime lighting and their own refractive status.
