Abstract
The case presents the situation of a young Indian entrepreneur, Hardajit Singh (Hardy), who upon returning from a trip to Japan, bounces upon the idea of adopting a Japanese style conveyor belt sushi restaurant model for an Indian restaurant. He pitches his idea to his MBA friends, each of whom have different inputs to give him about the configuration, ambience and service design of the restaurant. Hardy finds that thinking through all the elements of service design is not as easy as he thought it would be.
