Abstract
This case is a role play that aims to make students illustrate diverse management situations after they have learnt the theory. Five topics are suggested: 1) Relationships between top, middle and first-line managers; 2) Relying on 3 different kinds of leadership (autocratic, democratic and laissez-faire); 3) Managing a crisis situation; 4) Managing a conflict, and 5) Teamwork and communication. Students work in small teams (3 to 4 students) and have to simulate how they would tackle one or the other of these five typical management situations. Each presentation gives way to a discussion with the other students in the classroom.
