Pandora Radio (Pandora) was considered as one of the stalwarts of music streaming industry in the US. The company was known for its 'Music Genome Project' and music algorithm. The company adopted a subscription based business model that ensured advanced sales for the company. Over the years the company gained popularity as America's leading music streaming services. Pandora's app was known to be one of the popular music streaming apps on the internet. But over the years, the company had to combat rising acquisition costs and had also to bear the costs of marketing. The internet based radio company also faced slump in stock over a period of years and struggled hard to attain profit. In a turn of events, in March 2016, the Co-founder of the company Tim Westergren was summoned back and was appointed as the CEO in order to take charge of the ailing streaming company. Tim was the prime architect for the Pandora's 'Music Genome Project' and analysts believed that he would be able to steer the radio company out of woes. Thus it was to be seen that in what ways would the appointment of Tim prove beneficial for Pandora?
