Abstract
On Nov 24th, 2014, Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) became the target of the biggest cyber-attack in US corporate, after it was hit with a devastating wiper malware attack by hackers calling themselves the Guardians of Peace. Stemming from the attack, over 100 terabytes of data that contained movies, salaries, social security numbers, and other personally identifiable information had been stolen and posted on the Internet, which brought a series of social and financial consequences. The SPE cyber-attack has been heralded as the hack of the century.
