Abstract
This is the third of a three-case series. On 18 August 2004, the pearl farm opponents got the news they had been hoping for, the Minister rejected the application. Port Stephens Pearls had 12 months to lodge an appeal with NSW's Land and Environment Court (LEC), an option they took up. The epilogue gives the final decision of the Land and Environment Court which overrules the successive ministerial determinations against the proposal.
